Our approach

We start with you, not a syllabus

IELTS is taken by teens preparing for university and adults preparing for work or immigration. Either way, we start in the same place, by finding out exactly where you stand.

01

Assess your level

We start every student with a real assessment of their English level, not an assumption based on age or background.

02

Find the weak skill

Listening, Reading, Writing or Speaking, we find out which one is actually holding your band score back.

03

Practice until it works

We keep practicing that skill, with real mock tests, until your score on it actually moves.

Skill by skill

Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking, each on its own

IELTS scores each skill separately, so we coach each one separately too.

IELTS LISTENING

Listening

Four sections, increasing in difficulty, played only once.

  • Form, note and table completion practice
  • Map and diagram labeling strategy
  • Matching and multiple choice question types
  • Trained on British, Australian, American and Indian accents
IELTS READING

Reading

Sixty minutes, forty questions, Academic or General Training texts.

  • Skimming and scanning under real time pressure
  • True False Not Given strategy
  • Matching Sentence Endings and Matching Headings practice
  • Academic passages or General Training workplace texts
IELTS WRITING

Writing

Task 1 and Task 2, scored on four official criteria.

  • Task 1, graphs and reports for Academic, a letter for General Training
  • Task 2, a 250 word essay in 40 minutes
  • Scored on Task Response, Coherence and Cohesion, Lexical Resource, and Grammatical Range and Accuracy
  • We start with capitalization, punctuation and conjunctions, then paragraph skills and smooth transitions
IELTS SPEAKING

Speaking

Three parts, eleven to fourteen minutes, with a live examiner.

  • Part 1, everyday questions about yourself and familiar topics
  • Part 2, the two minute cue card long turn, with one minute to prepare
  • Part 3, a deeper discussion connected to Part 2
  • Trained for natural answers, not scripts, and ready for Video Call Speaking
Academic or General Training

Two different goals, two different difficulty levels

IELTS Academic and IELTS General Training are two different categories. Listening and Speaking stay the same for both. Reading and Writing do not, so we coach each one with its own difficulty level and material.

IELTS ACADEMIC

For university admission

Built for students applying to universities that require an academic English score.

  • Long academic passages from journals, textbooks and articles
  • Academic vocabulary and formal tone practice
  • Writing Task 1, describing a graph, chart, table or diagram
  • Same Listening and Speaking coaching as General Training
IELTS GENERAL TRAINING

For immigration and work

Built for adults working toward immigration, a skilled migration visa, or a job abroad.

  • Everyday and workplace texts, notices, advertisements and instructions
  • Writing Task 1, a formal, semi-formal or informal letter
  • Vocabulary suited to UKVI and skilled migration requirements
  • Same Listening and Speaking coaching as Academic
A real result, not just a promise

From no spoken English to a university offer

One student came to us unable to speak English at all. We are sharing this as one specific result, not an average. Every student's timeline depends on their starting point and how much time they can give it.

What to expect

What kind of band score can you expect

Most students who train with us reach a band of 7.5 to 8. Most courses run for fifteen to thirty lessons, depending on your starting level and how soon your test is. Students starting from very little English, like the case above, can take longer, sometimes around six months.

Common questions

IELTS coaching, answered honestly

I do not speak English well, how long will coaching take?+

It usually takes two to three months, though this depends on your starting level and how soon your test is. We have also worked with students for six months starting from very little spoken English.

Do you offer any discount on IELTS coaching?+

Yes. Contact us directly and we can discuss discounted rates based on your situation.

What is a good IELTS band score?+

Band 6.0 is considered a competent level for many universities and workplaces. Band 7.0 is competitive for strong universities and skilled migration points. Band 8.0 and above is considered very good and helps with the most selective requirements.

What is the difference between IELTS Academic and IELTS General Training?+

IELTS Academic is mainly for university admission. IELTS General Training is mainly for immigration and work. Both share the same Listening and Speaking tests, but the Reading and Writing tests differ in difficulty and content.

Is the IELTS test computer delivered or paper based now?+

IELTS is moving fully to computer delivered testing worldwide through 2026, with paper based testing being phased out in most markets. Our coaching already trains students for the computer delivered format.

Does Digiwiz Academy train for IELTS Video Call Speaking?+

Yes. Many test centres now conduct the Speaking test over video call with a live examiner, and we prepare students for that format directly.

Can I retake just one section if I do badly in one skill?+

Yes. IELTS One Skill Retake lets you redo just Listening, Reading, Writing or Speaking instead of the full test, and it is available in most countries. We can focus coaching entirely on that one skill if needed.

Do you teach memorized answers or templates for Speaking and Writing?+

No. We teach students to think and respond naturally, mainly by learning to think in English. Examiners are trained to recognise and penalise memorised, scripted answers.

Are your IELTS trainers certified?+

Yes. Our IELTS trainers are British Council certified, and some are also IDP certified.
